Q: What inspired you to start working with AI-driven art and creative direction?
Anastasia:
I was amazed by the speed of the process and the diversity of the results. The absence of boundaries in bringing concepts to life—requiring nothing but imagination and prompt-engineering skills—felt like pure magic. The ability to create something out of words was a completely new way to express myself visually.
Q: How do you balance technology with artistic expression in your work?
Anastasia:
I strive to set up the technical side of the process as quickly as possible—developing prompts or building a sequence of solutions that will lead me to the final product. Then, I shift my focus entirely to the creative process, generating countless variations until I achieve the perfect result.
Q: Can you describe a project that challenged you creatively and how you overcame it?
Anastasia:
It was probably my project with Versace. It was my first major collaboration, a very important one, and I had to put all my skills and effort into it. At that time, AI tools and technology were not as advanced as they are now, so I had to come up with new solutions to integrate the product in the way it needed to appear in the final campaign.
In the end, everything came together, and I’m grateful for this experience because it taught me that if you stay true to your vision, create high-quality work that you genuinely love, and continuously explore new tools, people will eventually recognize it. For me, this is about honesty and the belief that in the creative process, nothing is impossible. Constraints and
challenges are just opportunities for creative thinking.
Q: What impact do you believe AI art will have on the future of visual storytelling?
Anastasia:
This is a complex question because every new discipline goes through a process of adaptation—both to societal needs and the demands of the industry. Society either embraces it and finds value in it or does not.
For me, the emergence of new tools and technologies is always an opportunity to tell stories in a new way. I hope that AI’s evolution will not be built on copying what has already been created or relying on repetition, but rather on generating something entirely new.
I know that many creators face criticism for their AI-generated work and that many traditional artists oppose the spread of AI. That’s why I believe we should focus more on the value of original works, developing platforms and solutions that help protect authentic, AI-assisted creations.
However, right now, we can see how rapidly AI tools are evolving and how widely they are being adopted. I believe AI is here to stay for a long time. Instead of resisting it, we should think more about how to protect original works, including those created with AI. AI is just a tool, and its potential lies in how we choose to use it—by combining different approaches. For example, you can integrate your own sketches, personal photographs, or other unique elements into AI-generated work, making it more meaningful and distinctive.
Additionally, AI significantly expands production capabilities, allowing creators to develop visuals that previously would have required an entire production team—all from a computer screen. This not only democratizes creative expression but also makes high-quality storytelling more accessible than ever before.
Q: What advice would you give to emerging digital creators looking to explore AI in their work?
Anastasia:
I would encourage emerging creators to find their own style and vision, to bring something unique and personal into the process. This might be a long journey of visual exploration within a specific theme or genre, but ultimately, I see it as a creative journey that should reflect your identity and ideas.
One of the most important aspects of my work is translating material into form. AI allows you to experiment with different textures and elements, unlocking an incredible world where you can create glass dresses or costumes made from luminescent fungal mycelium. There’s always excitement in discovering new, fascinating materials, and that sense of exploration is what makes the creative process truly rewarding.

in the end, will be able to craft something that once again evokes emotion and a deep love for visual art and design.
